Introducing the Flat Bread Toaster from Antunes

The latest addition to our lineup of toasters is the Flat Bread Toaster, or GST-1H. Launched this spring, the GST-1H can heat pre-cooked tortillas to 160ºF (71ºC) in approximately six seconds and uncooked flour tortillas to 160ºF (71ºC) in approximately 12 seconds.

Fast-casual, casual and QSR chains with menu items that feature pitas, tortillas or flatbreads are meeting a variety of current foodservice trends but need an efficient way to heat the wraps.

Our Flat Bread Toaster heats to a consistent temperature and toast profile, as opposed to heating wraps in a microwave or taking up space on a flat-top grill — giving operators an ideal solution for their flatbread needs with a dedicated, customizable product.

Case Study: Addressing the "Fresh" Trend with the Egg Station

Through market research and focus groups, a U.S. bagel and coffee chain found that “fresh” was a strong trend and that there was an increased industry focus on having a fresher, more health-conscious menu.

With this focus on fresh, the chain was looking to transition away from cooking eggs using a high-powered microwave and polycarbonate bowls — and they found their solution in the Egg Station from Antunes.

Antunes' Operations & Sales Updates

We recently made a few changes to our operations and sales teams.

Daniel Schmidt has been named director of strategic operations, a newly created role that will oversee the marketing, product management and supply chain departments.

Taking Daniel’s previous position as director of sales is Steve Obermeier, who will be responsible for the management of the sales team.

Registration Now Open for the Antunes Annual Golf Outing

It’s that time of year again — we'll be hosting our annual golf outing on August 25th at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago.

We hope you’ll make plans to join us for a day of golfing fun to benefit Splash, our corporate charity. To date, we’ve donated nearly $150,000 to assist Splash in their efforts to bring clean water to children around the world, and we look forward to adding to that total again this year.
